Applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) are available for those who were impacted by the severe weather that occurred on April 25, 2024 through May 9, 2024 in Carter, Craig, Hughes, Johnston, Kay, Love, Lincoln, McClain, Murray, Nowata, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Washington, and Washita counties. The deadline to submit a claim for DUA 4776 is July 1, 2024. Applications submitted after that date will be considered untimely unless the individual provides good cause for filing after the deadline. All individuals must file an unemployment insurance claim at https://oklahoma.gov/oesc/individuals/. The deadline to submit a claim for DUA 4791 is August 13, 2024. Applications submitted after that date will be considered untimely unless the individual provides good cause for filing after the deadline. All individuals must file an unemployment insurance claim at https://oklahoma.gov/oesc/individuals/. Attention: Unemployment compensation is taxable. The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission will mail all unemployment compensation recipients a 1099-G within the next month. 1099’s are required to be sent to the address of record and cannot be forwarded by the United States Post Office. If you have moved since filing, you must update your address to receive the 1099. You may update your address by accessing our internet claims system at https://unemployment.state.ok.us/. If you are unable to change your address online, please report to a local office to complete the address change. If you report in person, you will be asked to provide identification before any changes are made.
All individuals who received unemployment benefits in 2024 will receive a 1099-G. These forms will be mailed out by January 31st, 2025 and will need to be included with income tax filings.
Holiday notice: OESC offices will be closed Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Weekly benefit payments and automatic transfers may be delayed due to bank closures during the holidays.
